My substance recovery book also helps grief-stricken family & friends heal, and lets them know that their loved ones can get well & lead fruitful lives. I also want to educate society about what addiction is, and in my book I demonstrate that recovery is possible even if an addict has been jailed, and so forth. The fact is that millions of people are in successful recovery and transform themselves into productive citizens.
